definitely excited about him as a possession-type receiver. There was an article in the advocate yesterday that talked about how good of friends he is with Eric Reid, and then combine that with him being Glen Dorsey's first cousin and I don't see how he wouldn't come to LSU.

The film was OK... Eric Reid leveled him on one play. In his defense though, they're were two guys followig him on almost every play and Reid looked like he was told just to shadow Landry the whole game. I would have liked to see him field a few of those punt returns instead of blocking. His blocking leaves much to be desired.

Pretty impressive film for one game he is a jack of all trades and a master if WR, but he doesn't block well from what I saw. That could be he is smaller or coaching. He is also all over the field.

Yeah Eric Reid leveled Jarvis one play. Then Jarvis leveled Eric three or four times after that. Eric had to be helped off the field after one devestating block from Landry. I'll take Landry any day, kid plays to the whistle and has a motor that doesn't stop.

hell no. if he got laid out then he sucks at wr. and if he cant block then he will never play wr. he probably cant throw or tackle worth a frick either.

You obviously didnt watch the tape. Anybody making comments without watching the footage needs to put a sock in it. Landry gave Reed the business. Landry is one mean MF. blocking is not a issue with this kid. He made Reed look like the '11 prospect, and Landry looked like the senior rivals 100 prospect.

Don't be. He was shadowing a freak of nature all night with a bum shoulder and stitches in his head. The guy is all grit, and still managed to make some solid plays.

And yeah, Landry is just disgusting.

Most high school players' blocking does. He's only 175lbs if that. He'll be fine in college.

Considering he is a HIGH SCHOOL WR and is only 5'11 178, his blocking was excellent to me. You can't teach a kid to be as physical as him. Rarely does a guy have blocks that could be included in a highlight film but he had multiple impressive plays from one game film.

Also, JL holding on to the ball after that huge hit from ER was

I was there. He looks really, really good. Webster was solid as well. Rushed for a good amount. Also scored a touchdown and hit a long pass to Landry that both were called back.

Landry got physical throughout, which I had not seen from just highlight tapes. He goes out and makes a strong block every play (that he is not involved in as the decoy or the recipient of the pass.) His balance is what really gets me. He moves side to side with fluid motion, and he keeps his legs moving until the whistle. After his highlight catch over Eric Reid, Landry scored on a screen pass where Reid had him wrapped up ten yards from the goal line. It was a prime example of him never giving up on a play, despite contact.
