Hi Everyone,

A few things has changed since my last sticky. Not sure how many people actually read my thread. But some of the changes are:

1. We have diversified our menu to include more poboys (alligator sausage, alligator meat, calamari, country fried steak, crab cake, french fry with roast beef gravy, homemade corned beef, homemade meatball).

2. We added a lighter side menu for health concious people.

3. We now sell frozen king crab legs, dungeness crab clusters, and snow crab legs. We also sell them boiled. Spicy King crab legs and dungeness crab clusters are pretty tasty if I say so myself.

4. I can now get live lobsters in a few times a week for special orders.

5. We do daily lunch specials on monday thru friday. All our daily lunch specials are pretty much homemade and made from scratch.

6. We now offer limited seating instead of just take out. We have 5 4-person tables so we can seat 20 total. We hope to expand that in the next month or so.

7. As of tommorrow, we will finally be able to sell some propane gas. Rates should be pretty decent and it should be very easy for people to get into our filling tank even if they have big campers. We can actually pull 18-wheelers thru our parking lot.

Posted from another thread of mine:

Just wanted to mention that we will start tommorrow carrying some live crawfish from California. They are supposed to be the same species as Louisiana crawfish and they are in season right now.

We are able to get in shipments twice a week. Prices will be:

Live Crawfish- $2.59/lb
Boiled Crawfish- $3.39/lb

Only problem is that they are a little higher than our crawfish. I will report on them tommorrow when I get a look at them. From what I hear, they are similar to our pond raised crawfish and about medium sized. And I'm willing to show the customers some live ones (if they are buying them boiled) just so they don't think they are frozen chinese (pre-boiled) crawfish.

There's something not right about CA crawfish in my mind. I sort of like that season ends and I have it to look forward to, like Christmas. It's a Louisiana thing to me. So are crawfish.

If people are buying them all year round, there might not be as big a buy of the LA crawfish when our season rolls around. I wonder how our crawfish farmers feel about this. I'd be curious to know.

I'm pretty sure the season for California crawfish will only last a month. Up until the third week of september or maybe even until the first week of October.

Another Change:

8. I took over making the gumbo and the gumbo is now made with a seafood stock (that I made) and is a much better product than we were putting out before.

french fry with roast beef gravy

You, sir, are the freaking man!! I never thought this was a "frickupable" sandwich until I tried Rocco's. Not enough "fry to bread" ratio and his gravy is, well, about as piss-poor as it gets. I'll be heading down to your place tomorrow and now I'm torn between trying the roast beef or the fry sandwich. I seriously think I'm tearing up typing this.

Do you serve/sell alcoholic beverages? This sounds like a place I'd like to check out when I'm down in BR.

We are working on it. A lot of red tape to go through first and a lot of money also.

Do y'all have a place sit and eat or is it just take-out? If so, is it possible to get a seat around 12:45?

Yep, we have places to sit. We can only seat about 20 people but usually we have room at our tables because we do mostly take out business. But sometimes on thursday and friday, tables do get filled up. It just depends on business. I hate to tell you we will have room when I'm not sure.

Preciate you homey. I'll be patronizing your place tomorrow for lunch. I'll be the fat guy ordering the roast beef with mayo and gravy only.
