Why do clueless geeks keep equating Miles to Coker?
Maybe it's due to the fact Miles is the coach who exposed Coker 40-3.
Maybe it is due to Miles' BCS and postseason record: 40-3, 41-14, 38-24
BCS, and 38-3.
Maybe it is due to Miles' great recruiting program at LSU.
Maybe it is due to the fact Miles is running LSU into the ground.
Bottom Line: Skip Bertman picked Les Miles and Skip knows coaches.
Who knows more about college coaching, Skip Bertman or immature Gump Geeks?

Alem has been the subject of many stories about his name change in the spring of 2006. He made the switch to reflect his African roots. The full name -- Rahim Akil Alem -- is part Swahili and part Arabic. He said Rahim means compassionate and merciful, Akil means intelligent and Alem means leader.
Hope you are not trying to turn this conversation into a Christian vs Muslim thread. Whatever his faith, he is an LSU player.

If a president wants to fundamentally change our economical system by having the government control more of the private sector(GM, Chrysler, Fannie, Freddie, AIG, Healthcare), I think that borders on being a statist or socialist. Coker was 35-3 during his first 3 seasons in Miami. First signs of cracking was a Peach Bowl appearance in 4th year, which they won, to finish 10-3. Like Miles, Coker was also handed a world of talent, winning 1 national championship.
So the comparison, at least superficially, is certainly legitimate.
But Miles seems to have better assistants and seems to have recruited better.

ok its one thing to being intimidating but when you are a NFL prospect you need no references of Malcolm X or any miiltant references. Its bad enough his name is misunderstood
