Opinions/Thoughts on his likelyhood of being in good enough shape to perform well?

I would rather him over any other QB in the league. Im emotionally attached though because I had him in 07 and the dude was beating teams by himself. No bullshite, he scored 72 points in one game for me that year. Our point system was messed up... we got a lot of extra points for long TDs. I think he will back and the best fantasy QB in the league IMO

I expect that he and Brees will finish as the top 2 QB's this year. They should outdistance everyone with the possible exceptions of Rodgers, Rivers and Manning, in no particular order. IMO FWIW

Everyone makes a big deal about his knee. He is not Vick or better example Culpepper. He makes no plays with his feet. My concern is more with their line than his knee. I have him as a keeper in one league where QB's are scored heavily.

I don't think he's any riskier than any other QB, and has way more upside.

Opinions/Thoughts
When I saw him in the first preseason game, he looked like he was in mid-season form. Zero rust. I still like Brees a little better, and I agree with the poster above that Rodgers, Manning (Peyton), and Rivers will be in the mix, but I have Brady sitting at my No. 2 overall QB right now.

Caveat: My top QB list is pretty much meaningless because I never draft a QB higher than the 4th round.

i like his season numbers, but he has some off weeks, and that is likely to cost you a L

he reminds me alot of suan alexander

you'll get 4 d's one game, and none the next...year 4 over 2 games is good, but i like the game to game consistency brady brings

ETA- my league penalizes heavy for int's

brees' games last year against washington, minn, atlant, tampa bay & chicago were pretty brutal b/c of the int's. 17 ints is just alot...brady has never thrown that many
