He's the best.

All this talk about using the star system and film and not putting so much weight on camps is BS. The below is a perfect example:

LaFell was the rare under-the-radar prospect coming out of high school who plays a position LSU has always recruited well.

LaFell was a modest three-star prospect according to Rivals.com coming out of Houston’s Lamar High.

LaFell has led the Tigers in receiving for two straight years.

Miles's problem is not talent recognition, it's attrition. We seem to be losing quality signees the way we did prior to Saban's arrival.

Everybody has hits and misses. Miles seems to be getting better with the hits, and thats a trend I like.

He did. He changed it to something else though.

I seem to remember hearing that he didn't want to offer TrindonH and that an assistant or someone had to talk him into it.

When Cole PIttman died Jacob changed his mind about UT. Fate's fickle finger at work.

Agree. Trindon's a guy we all love to watch, but his contribution on the field pales in comparison to Lafell's.

Not really. Jimbo deserves credit for Trindon. But Miles wasn't against it.

I think the story is that the staff had to sell Saban on him. When Saban left, Jimbo had to then sell Miles on him.
