The Sun Bowl has decided to sign on with the ACC instead of the Big East for 2010-2013 seasons. It will be the #4 Pac10 vs #5 ACC:

The Sun Bowl football selection committee voted today to go with the Atlantic Coast Conference over the Big East Conference for the next bowl cycle from 2010-13, Sun Bowl committee chairman John Folmer told The Tampa Tribune.
The Sun Bowl, played in El Paso, Texas, will get the fifth selection from the ACC and the fourth selection from the Pac-10. The Big East had offered its third selection or Notre Dame when available, but Folmer said his committee thought the ACC offered more.
"At the end of the day it was based on what overall we thought is best for the people of El Paso," Folmer said. "We haven't seen the ACC in so long, we think it will be good."
"It was a hard decision – 10 times harder than last time. We've made so many good friends in the Big East. They did everything in their power to make it happen and I think the ACC did also. It was just the matter of how our people felt at the end of the day and we wanted to go in a different direction."

I dont thinks pitt's scoring nothing in a 3 point lose or their fans traveling like shite helped the BE look good

That was a truly awful fricking game. But BC didn't exactly look terribly good against Vandy in their game. Could have happened to anyone in either conference.

It certainly helped both of those DE's get drafted. I don;t think I have ever seen a pair of De's just dominate a team like that before.

BC is no longer in the Big East, which is one of the reasons they are slowly sliding into football irrelevance.

ETA: nevermind, I read what you wrote wrong

Well the Big East just committed to the Champ Sports Bowl for their number 2 team. Only caveat is that once during the four years the bowl can take ND if their record is within 2 wins of the #2 Big East team (i.e. a 7-5 Notre Dame is say USF is 9-3)

I guess the fact of the matter is that the Big East dosen't travel and is becoming more and more irrelevant.

Pitt doesnt travel you mean. WVU is one of the best traveling fan bases in the country, Rutgers fans do travel and the better they get the more you will see it. Cincy brought more fans to the orange bowl than VT which they said had 70k+ but looked like 40 on tv. If Uconn keeps getting better the fans will travel like they do in bball and Lville travels very well.

You pegged it right. Wes Va and Rutgers will bring people. Cincy has good fans all of a sudden. UConn is coming on big time

The thing is no one on the east coast wants to go to the shite hole el paso is becoming. They will find the same thing with the acc fans. Getting there is a hassel and acc fans are going to say frick that when they would much rather make the trip some were in the south.

The Big East is the most patheitc "major" conference in the history of sports. Their automatic bid to the BCS should be taken away and given to the Mountain West. They are an absolute joke. First BCS conference ever without a single team in the top 25, shameful. End rant.

Trust me, even Texans don't want to travel to El Paso. Not only do you have to drive through BFE to get there but a lot of the narcotic war is spilling over across the border there right now.

Last 4 years in BSC games 3 wins
WVU over UGA in ATL
Lville over Wake
WVU over Boomer Sooner
VT over Cincy in one of the most boring BCS games ever so

BFE = Big fricking Earth

In other words, pretty much any huge piece of land where there's just generally nothing out there, which is virtually all of West Texas.
