Updated roster, there will be one walkon added as there are only 34 right now. Here's my projected lineup. Again this is my opinion and is not what is set in stone.

1B-Kyle Koeneman (JR)
2B-Tyler Hanover (SO)
SS-Austin Nola (SO)
3B-Grant Dozar (SO)/Mike Lowery (JR)
LF-Blake Dean (SR)
CF-Leon Landry (JR)
RF-Mikie Mahtook (SO)
C-Micah Gibbs (JR)
DH-Beau Didier (FR)/Matt Gaudet (SR)

Fri-Anthony Ranaudo (JR)
Sat-Mitch Mormann (JR)
Sun-Austin Ross (JR)
Midweek-Ben Alsup (JR)/Shane Reidie (SO)
Bullpen-Daniel Bradshaw (JR), Chad Jones (JR)*, Paul Bertucini (SR), Joey Bourgeois (SO), Chris Matulis (SO).
Closer-Matty Ott (SO)

Superstar- Blake Dean/Anthony Ranaudo
Best MLB prospect-Anthony Ranaudo
Strongest arm-Austin Nola
Sleeper-Chris Matulis
2 freshman to watch out for-Forrest Garrett/Mike Reed
2 JUCO's to watch out for-Kyle Koeneman/Edmond Sparks

Top player from each class

Senior-Blake Dean
Junior-Anthony Ranaudo
Sophmore-Mikie Mahtook
Freshman-Forrestt Garrett

MLB prospects for 2010 draft

Anthony Ranaudo-top 5 pick
Micah Gibbs-top 3 rounds
Leon Landry-top 5 rounds
Blake Dean-top 10 rounds
Chad Jones-top 10 rounds (if he focused on baseball)
Edmond Sparks-top 15 rounds
Mitch Mormann-top 20 rounds

If Koeneman hits at LSU like he did at JUCO then I'd have to say he's gone after one year.

Will any of those sophomores be 21 by next summer?

that LSU sports roster has Dishon listed as a Junior but I'm pretty sure he'll only be soph after redshirting last year.

ETA: Also, you think Mahtook will move over for Landry? I would think he'd stay in CF.

im assuming these are JUCO transfers... whats the word on them? I havent heard of them yet.

Forrestt Garrett

what about him? where does he play?

you seem pretty informed, but I might think Deshaun(sp?) might get a shot in the OF over Dean (who would obviously at least play DH). he looked great when he played as a true freshman two years ago.

good stuff though; looking forward to next season

good job adam, only thing I would add, would be Landry in right field, Mahtook in CF, Matty Ott as a possible starter, and Dishon might be a possible 3B/RF candidate

mainieri has already said Dean will start the year at DH more than likely due to his surgery.

Shane Reidie will be a key player/pitcher for us next season. He has the potential to become a week-end starter - pitch a lot of innings.
