How badly does the local media want J Lee to win the QB job?

I've never seen more people just overwhelmed at how someone is clearly the best QB in practice because they get to see them do jumping jacks for 15 minutes a day. Does being a sweet guy to interview win over the Randy Rosettas of the world more than anything?

If it weren't so sad, it would be disturbing.

What are they saying? I'm not in BR and don't keep up with the local media there much.
What do you suspect is their motivation?

Got a link to what you are talking about?

I'm not so silently hoping JLee takes over the job to see your meltdown.

its slipped into every blog and article that the Advocate does. Something like "Miles has indicated that Jefferson has the lead but Lee is clearly the sharper QB so far in practice and Jefferson sucks at throwing every short route while Lee is pure awesomeness."

those statements make about as much sense as your sig

is that a direct quote?
I think the Advocate needs to edit their articles a little better.

A simple link would do the trick.

Just find an article that mentions the quarterbacks.
Including Rosetta's blog

I don't give a shite about how they perform in the first 15 minutes of practice, I want the starting QB that's a "gamer". If it's Lee than so be it, but he has a lot to prove IMO (Jefferson still has to prove himself as well).

from the link...

While the starting job is Jefferson’s, Lee is the immediate backup and remains an intriguing wild card as the season draws nearer.
In the week since fall practice began, Lee has appeared to be the most comfortable and confident quarterback in non-contact drills. He has shown a stronger and more accurate arm than Jefferson or Shepard, crisply delivering the ball right where receivers want it.
During the last 12 roller-coaster months, Lee has evolved from a wide-eyed redshirt freshman — who under the right circumstances might not have taken a snap under pressure yet — to being the most SEC-tested of the group.

JJ will start no matter what unless he gets hurt.

Agreed, and I'm feeling more and more confident in Lee's abilities to step in if something happens to JJ.

JL is going to see playing time this year. When he does I will hold my breath and hope like hell he has become the quarterback we all want him to be.
If somehow Les decides he's the starter, I will trust his judgement, but I will still be holding my breath. I will feel a little better knowing that if he has another mental collapse that there are three other QBs that can step in. Worst case scenario is we mostly abandon the pass and have Shep running the option. I can live with that.

Couldn't agree more Stro. Lee was put in a horribly difficult spot for a true freshman. It's documented fairly well that TF (Stafford, McCoy(UTA))never do well as starting QB's in the SEC over a course of a season. Now that he got that experience out of the way, I look for much brighter days for Lee.
I give Lee the benefit of the doubt if JJ goes down or can't hack it. I think Lee has the tools to make it happen if given the chance this time around.
