Flying in tomorrow night and eating dinner right after arrival. The catch is that we have to stay fairly close to pick someone up on a later flight. For the life of me, I cannot think of anything in that area around Veterans or otherwise.

Help...

Any particular price range?

I've heard great things about this place...

Not much on atmosphere, but Fiesta Latina is very authentic Mexican. It's right by the corner of Airline and Williams Blvd.

Not restricted. Casual will be fine, although maybe a step up from Bud's Broiler would be nice (no slight at Bud's - i love the place).

Something nicer than casual, if it exists in Kennar, would work as well.

Just want a good meal more than anything else.

Le Parvenu on Williams is the best restuarant close to the airport. Haven't been to Da Piero, but I have heard good things.

Is Vincent's too far from the airport? It's a pretty quick drive down Williams to West Esplanade, and then down to Transcontinental.

Le Parvenu is another one that I've never been to, but have heard good things about.

You're right - go with one of the Italian places in Kennah.

Le Parvenu is less than five minutes from the airport and very solid upscale creole.

This is the best answer. Both of those area great. Just take Williams toward the river and they are practically next door to each other.

If you have time, print up a restaurant.com
gift certificate for Le Parvenu...they are on sale for $2 right now.

Piero has some of the best homemade pasta in the city. Northern Italian. Not cheap but a great meal.

Yes, they are real. I have used them and TA has for sure as well.

Once you create an account, you should be able to get 'em for $2...

The magic word you need when you check out is

It is an excellent deal. Once you sign up, they will send you emails. Part of the time, they are 60 or 70% off deals, but at least once ever other week or so, they seem to be doing 80% off.

I buy when they get to be $2 for a $25 deal. Most of the restaurants are crap, but around her I have jumped on ones for Le Parvenu, Cypress, and a new restaurant uptown that is supposed to be great.
