re: Tailgating in Seattle

I'm asking the university's parking facilities about Parking Lot E12, which is apparently where most of the land-based Husky tailgating takes place, if you can believe a couple of their fans, who have responded to your query. Soon as I hear what U-DUB's parking facilities have to say, I'll post. If you're on foot, I doubt you'll have to buy a parking pass, but I'll let you know.

Has anyone heard if the local alumnio groups are doing any big tailgating?

I'm from Lake Charles, LA but am in the Navy. I live right accross the Puget Sound in Bremerton and will be attending the game. Myself and 5 other LSU fans I have converted from various conferences. We are looking for a place to tailgate also!

I'm drinking in they parking lot no matter what the hell they say. They learn to respect LSU fans.

We rented a house in Gig Harbor. Not too far away. How long is the ferry ride to the city from here? Is it a car ferry? Want to be able to drive back Saturday night and not have to worry about the ferry.

if you get on WA-16 W towards Port Orchard then hit HWY 3 N take the Bremerton Ferry. It is a car ferry. Should take you about 25-30 mins from Gig Harbor to the Bremerton Ferry. Fee is I wanna say $12-15 there and again back. Bremerton ferry is about 45 mins-hr to Seattle. Nice ferries though. Ferries run until 2am or so. Plenty of time to make it back. Hope this was helpful.

Its faster if you just drive towards Tacoma on Highway 16 and go I-5 North....unless you want to take a ferry.

truth. I just hate driving up I-5 on the weekends. Traffic can be a pain. Either way should be fine. If you do choose that route don't forget to pay the 4 dollar toll over the Tacoma Narrows bridge or they will hit you with a $50 ticket.

True...but if your going to drive I-5.....the weekend is the best time....LOL! It should be ok. Seattle will be a madhouse period.

Hopefully this above average weather sticks around til september 6th. Would be nice to have 70 degree weather at night:) That cool lake breeze will feel good.

It's been a wierd summer. There hall been a definite feeling of fall over the last couple weeks. This better not screw up our September weather.

Here's a question for you Washingtonites about the weather.
When watching the weather channel and it gives the 10 day forecast, does it usually stick to that forecast, or does it change from day to day?
Like here they could say it has a 100% chance of rain, and it's sunny the whole day. Just want to know if monitoring the weather will do any good for planning things out.

The weathermen know least about the patterns here than anywhere else because our weather is funky. I don't believe them more than two days out. You can believe them friday night...LOL!

I've always been helpful to opposing fans. Some opposing fans will send in a note to the Advocate giving props to the Tiger Fans, you see this every year. Then you have the ones that say, "I can't wait to come back, this is the best Football Atmosphere!"
Never ever seen this at TS. As the poster above said, follow anybody around. Most LSU fans are oblivious to the treatment because, well they are LSU fans and dont have to be subjected to it but it is horrid. More like 40% (being very generous here)of the fans are cool. Not even close to 95% and I've been several times. It is the worst road game (ask any fanbase) and I vowed in 06 to never go back. Would have loved to have been there last year but it just isnt worth the trouble of all the Tigerbaiting and cussing you get. No food or drink ever offered my way. Only items thrown my direction and dispararaging remarks. And this is just walking to the stadium. If you ask for it you deserve it but when you say nothing it is not cool. Not a good experience, not fun, not cool. TS is absolutely miserable. Worst, by far to visiting fans that I have ever seen. And yes the Tigerbaiting does get under your skin after oh, about the 40th person who jumps in your face. Again, ask any fanbase. here's where the 95% of people would be accurate.
