How well has Chavis' defense At Tenn. done against the Florida offense? I know Florida beat everyone pretty good but just wondering. UCLA tore him a new one in the season opener. UCLA sucks. His stats are always very good but stats can lie. Not hatin, just wondering.

Tenn's O didn't help him out the last few years. A lot of 3 and outs.

Can't really judge the Chief in those terms. There is no way on earth that he had the talent at UThug that he will have at LSU. Two totally different situations, IMO.

To answer the question Urban's offense has not done very well against Chavis' defense. I think I saw somewhere Tebow's worst 2 games have come against Tennessee.

My recollection of that game was UThug's offense had plenty of scoring opportunities, but could not cash in. Their defense was on the field much of the game, allowing UCLA to gradually both get back in the game, then ultimately win.

Word is the Chief is excited about having more talent to work with at LSU than during much of his time in Knoxville, so I look for good things from the Tiger D this season.

last year tebow was 8/15 for 96 yrds and 2 tds, no uf rb ran for over 55 yrds against tennessee. their offense was held to 243 total yards and 2 tds. the final score was 30-6. 14 points by td, 9 pts hy fg's and one td by a brandon james punt return. he did a good job against uf last year, in 07 not so much. his defense was good enough for tennesse to win the east in 07 and held our offense to one td in the sec championship. i think we are in good shape with the new defensive staff.

Come on man. Let's start doing some research before posting on here. In that game UCLA had 288 total yards. They ran the ball 31 times for 29 yards (.9 yards per carry). UT also picked off UCLA's QB 4 times. If that is 'tearing a defense a new one' then I hope we get 'torn a new one' each week.

a lot better than Pelini's defense was against Arizona State and/or Rick Clausen.

I think we are getting catch up in worrying about FL, all we have to do is go out and perform well the rest will play out

I doubt you watched the game if you think this. Actually this was right after Gustav so if you live around here you most likely did not watch it.
