Willie Roaf's Wife Controversy from 7 years back

Just to clarify for the fans who insist that Joe Horn had nothing to do with forcing the Saints to trade the greatest position player in franchise history in his prime for a 3rd round pick....
From today's front page article in the Times Picayune from the Saints longtime expert Jeff Duncan: And who could forget the Willie Roaf/Joe Horn/Joe Johnson imbroglio?

That statement doesn't clarify anything. Which Joe was it? Both?

not sure what that clears up, unless horn and johnson 3'd it up with roaf's wife

Not sure what your point is Alejandro.

I remember Willie saying he was going to get a blood test to prove that the baby was his. Never heard anything about that again.

I'm trying clear it up that both guys were involved.
Every time somebody mentions Joe Horn as being involved most Saints fans reply that "it was Joe Johnson, not Joe Horn. How many times do we have to go over this?"
And then me and like 1 other person say that Joe Horn was in fact involved.
So can we all definitively agree now that Joe Horn and Joe Johnson were both involved in some degree with fricking Mrs. Roaf?

FWIW, back during the 1999-2004 time period, I was pretty good friends with one of the marquee players on the team. He swore it was Joe Johnson that was mixed up with Roaf's wife and that Horn had no involvement whatsoever.

Can anyone confirm rumors that Mrs. Roaf was as a stripper before she married Willie?
I've always heard this and that it was several Saints who hit that.
And for those of you how will ask where I heard this, many of the Saints players lived in Destrehan, it's a small town, people talk.

So this article proves that Horn was involved how?

Oh, I think Horn was involved. I worked at a casino once for a couple of years and Horn would show up occasionally. Dude was a pimp. I remember him doing one of the better looking women security guards one night

More importantly......
quote:
As impressive as Payton's influence has been on the field, his diligence and attention to detail off it -- in the locker room and between the ears of his players -- has been equally important, if not more so. Both Williams and Evans said it was a key factor in their decision to join the Saints this offseason.

Willie's father in law was retired from NOPD. don't know anything about the daughter being a dancer. But trust me, Joe Horn was stirring that gumbo also.

the truth about that story is Willie Roaf wife had sex with Joe Horn! that is it, not sure if she got pregs (thou that story did surface) Joe johnson had nothing to do with any of that that I heard. My source was really good one!!! but Joe Horn did that to a lot of "wifes". He was a tool, great WR for a few years, but a friging tool. Haslet was a punk and cheated on his wife ALL the time...proven
