Anyone got any idea what the reasoning behind this is from the Bobcats POV?

It's MJ's idea?

MJ sees Tyson as the next Kwame

You could make the argument that Chandlers offensive game is lightyears ahead of Okafors.

Does anyone know okafor's contract? Do we save money with this deal or what? Bc i like the deal straight up okafor is a better all around player than chandler

This reminds me of when I used to trade baseball cards when I was younger and it was so painfully obvious I was jobbing the other guy.

that would be a steal for NOLA if true. although i have no idea why charlotte would do this

Man, I'm so torn between this. I've gotten my hopes up really high for a healthy Chandler this season. Okafor would surely bring more offense though.

while i think Okafor is a rising player, i'm not sure how trading a soon to be expiring deal for a guy who just signed a $72 million extension before last year helps to cut payroll.
Okafor averaged 13 ppg last year and 14 for his career. Chandler's career high ppg is 11.8

Chandler's entire offensive game consists of put backs and throwing down CP3's lobs.

what the frick is the point of this trade?
emeka is locked up for like 5 more years at 1 million per year less than tyson
this would be a ridiculous move by bower if the whole point is to cut payroll

Chandler makes 2 million per year more than Okafor, but I wonder how much longer and for how much each has in his contract.

They just signed Okafor to a 6-year deal I think. Maybe they believe they made a mistake and want to dump him.
