I don't understand your reasoning here. The weather in Aug/Sept is beautiful in Seattle (I know, I lived there for 3 years)
I'm not sure which team you think will suffer because of sunny skies and 50-60 degree weather

Both teams show first-game problems. Our defense breaks down a couple of times, but our superior talent wins the day.

It should not be that big of a factor for us, since our strength is in our running game. It could affect them (either positively or negatively) if they are more reliant on the passing game. Rain seems to make it harder to catch the ball, but a wet field helps receivers get more open.

LSU will be traveling a long ways and will kick off at 9:30 central time, thus they may not be as sharp as you would hope, even for an opening game.
UW has pretty good qb if I re-call and will be fired up to play hard for their new coach.
