I just have a feeling that KW might have had a nagging injury the beginning of last year b/c he just didn't look that great early in the season when he did get touches; however, the bowl game I thought he looked lights out.

The bowl game last year is what I'm expecting the CS/KW rotation to be this year.
Scott - 15-20
KW - 10-15

I'm also expecting a lot of formations with CS and KW in the backfield at the same time with one at FB. I really like this formation at the goal line b/c defenses would have to respect the FB dive as well.

Absent a much improved season this year, KW will be remembered as very capable and at times explosive backup. A contributor, not a star who received far more attention in this space than his performance demands.
Best of luck to him, but you can make a pretty good argument his best opportunities are behind him. There are other capable back ups who each bring something special to the table.

I never got this. KW is definitely NOT a small back. I think people remember his speed and just assume he is a scat back...

well to be fair, keiland is an upright guy who doesn't really have POW plays and doesn't use his size to run people over

Maybe but he has a real powerful leg drive that allows him to run through tackles. IMO, he definitely has the physique of an "every down" RB whereas some on this site say he is just a specialty speed back.

from what I can barely remember, he reminds me of Herschel Walker in this respect, although Walker was faster

There goes your credibility. Who in their right mind could make a statement like that?

keiland's running just isn't in line with our offense now and was more suited to jimbo's offense

and he looks like he's gotten too big (muscle and fat). it will be interesting to see what happens with him between now and the NFL draft

Please Note: ForeLSU did not make this statement. The poster screwed up the "Reply" process.

System or not, KW just doesn't run as well as he did a couple years ago. I hope he turns it around and starts sharing more carries with Scott.

keiland did well later in the year last year

it was noticeable when scott was wearing down

and no, KW is not going to consistently perform in a running game based around i-form and running up the gut and only creating inside lanes

Why can't we do two types offenses?

In 2007 the option out of the pistol formation worked very well for us and KW and RM both did well on that play. Last year because JL was running it, the defenses were able to concentrate on the running back and ignore JL altogether since he was no threat to run and that play ended up being a dud. This year with JJ running it, that play should open up for us again. Thus, I believe that both KW and RM will have better seasons this year.

KW definitely got off to a slow start last year, but picked it up in the second half of the season.

To answer the original question, I believe that it's KW. He has thrilled me with some electrifying runs (some after catch) in big games.

I like the idea of KW and CS both in the backfield on a situational basis. I'd like to see that 10 to 15 times a game. I'd also like to see KW get around 20 to 25 snaps per game. That's not to say carries per game.

I do believe that CS either wore out or became dinged-up last season. Perhaps KW can help reduce that load.

The Tigers certainly have other dangerous ball carriers like Murphy, Ridley, Ford, Holliday and Shep. I'd like to see them all get some carries every game, and they should. After all, the Tigers run the ball about 38 times per game on average (based on last year with new timing). rules).

Dominique Davis. He ran harder than the both of them.

Ya, OK. Name me an RB in conference who had a better performance last year than his against Auburn? (outside of Moreno, who is a level above) I'm not talking about numbers; I'm talking about breaking tackles, vision, and real actual game impact. Everyone who watched that game came out of it with one feeling, Scott is a beast.
