Considering the circumstances, thats one of the best catches I've ever seen. Not only did he rob a homer, he saved a perfect game and bobbled the ball out of his glove.
Just saw the replay. UNBELIEVABLE catch no matter what the circumstances. It's not like he was parked by the wall and jumped up. He sprinted the entire way and shuffled his feet once to gain control and leaped for the catch.

I want to see an athlete say:

"I would like to thank my Overlord, Satan, without whom none of my freakish abilities would be possible. I would also like to thank the many goats, chickens, and baby animals that were sacrificed on the Dark Alter, for without them, none of this would have happened."

That would kick arse.

My Rays got D-D-Dominated

Maybe this will be a wakeup call for Maddon to move BJ down in the order, but Jason Bartlett at the top, and find a new catcher?

Also, we need a new power arm. frick closers/middle relief. We need Roy Halladay or Cliff Lee.

Agreed, hit Crawford 1 and Bartlett 2 until (if) BJ comes around.

I don't think they can afford Halladay and they shouldn't give up Wade Davis for Lee. Maybe Bedard is a possibility.

James Shields+2 elite echelon prospects should buy Lee.

That's a terrible deal. Shields has an amazing contract and isn't that much worse than Lee, let alone the prospects. You want another starter to add to Shields/Garza/Price/Niemann so you can shoot Kazmir into the sun.

I didn't realize I wrote Shields name . Shields is, hands down, our Ace. Niemann is a fluke, and when he comes back down to Earth (along with Zobrist & Bartlett) we're going to need solid 1 2 3 guys.

I'm thinking Sonnanstine+Reid Brignac+ (insert pitching prospect here) would benefit us.

Anyone know who that hot, yet aggrevating on-field reporter is?

Buehrle is one of the most underrated pitchers in the game. Good for him.

Ok good, that's exactly what I would like a deal to be. Maybe if we can find a way to include Kazmir's contract instead of Sonnanstine we can afford to take back a decent contract back (like Halladay), but I don't see that happening.

Highest ranked offense to ever have a perfect game thrown against them. #3 offense in RS.

exactly what i thought. throwing a perfect game against the rays is as LEGIT as it gets. they are such a well-blended club of tremendous speed, excellent power, average.. etc. very impressive.
