Yes! The big LSU party is Friday night (9/4/09) before the LSU/Washington game at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle.

They expect to have a huge number of LSU fans for this event. Travis Matte and Horace Trahan are the bands playing. It is pretty much the only LSU party that weekend.

Here is a link to the party:

Oh Lawdy. Travis Matte and a bunch of crazy Cajuns in the higher latitudes and altitudes of the great Northwest? Not enough oxygen to fuel that party cher!

We're gonna drink until we can't See At All! (Get it? Se-at-tle?)

Will the LSU band be there?

No, but I am sure they will play many LSU songs for the crowd.

Travis Matte put on a show at the House of Blues for the LSU party the night before the National Championship game.

I got 16 LSU fans coming with me to this party in Seattle!

Yes............we will be getting out more information over the next 2 days. It's really
an adult show but there will be some teens there.

I'm 20 so I just want to get in and be able to drink with my friends and family.

LSU fans rarely party before a game.

Buying a ticket to this event and attending , both of which are legal , does not alter the Washington drinking laws . If you are planning on drinking at the event you would do it at your own risk and that of your friends & family if they are giving it to you. I don't know
what the place we're having the event is going to be like , as far as enforcement is concerned , but I would guess a lot more strict than around the LSU campus.

I don't travel to away games. I'd get too excited and maul people accidentally.

Since the Tiger Band and me aren't going, can we catch Travis Matte show on cable pay per view?

(Don't answer- yes, Mikey is capable of posing sarcastic rhetorical questions)

Snake,

I saw the flyer and saw that it said all ages. Is this at a bar or some sort of outdoor area. Was just curious. We will have our kids with us. Wasn't sure if this was a bar, sportsbar or open area. didn't want to buy tickets then find out, No kids or is crammed up in a real bar. I don't mind our kids at a sportsbar type thing, but wanted to see what the set up was. Thanks.

Thanks for reply. I have a big group looking for tickets.

Is this venue in downtown Seattle?

Hey 55 ,

We've got a consortium of people in La. & Wash. that put this together. A few people jumped the gun about putting out links , etc. before we worked out the details on how old kids had to be ,etc. This is one of the nicer places of its kind in downtown Seattle . It's an events place ! If I were you I would wait a few days to purchase tickets until the details are worked out.

How old are your kids by the way ? Remember that even though this is a nice place , Travis can get pretty raunchy and there will be a lot of heavy drinking by many of the 1.700 attendees.

thanks

I understand Snake, Thats why i was wondering if it was a bar, sportsbar or like a roped off street area. Kids are 10 and 14. I knew the link said all ages welcome, but wasn't sure after i saw some other comments. I know how rowdy things get and can decide if things get too bad to move along with no problem. But didn't want to waste my time if i knew it was a cramed up bar as opposed to maybe a sportsbar atmosphere. Obviously with the kids, we wouldn't be there to the end of it anyway. Please pass on info when available. Thanks
