The steaks there are the best I have had in BR. I really enjoy the Ribeye (ask the server to make sure its not so much butter in the plate) The Filet Oscar is very good too but not cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've thought about getting steak before, but usually end up with fish. May have to try out the ribeye.

I think I had the Redfish the last time I ate there. It was pretty good, not spectacular though.

Downtown by the river, on Lafayette. I've never been to the airline location

We usually end up getting the specials, they are always pertty damn good but be forewarned they are expensive and they usually don't tell you the price before you order them and end up being 40-50$, I think they are worth it but there is the sticker shock

Specials are good but yea expensive.. Prob too expensive for a BR restuarant.. Thats why I generally stick to the ribeye.. 28 dollars for a 14 or 16 oz prime cut steak (sorry cant remember exact size) with a salad and sides is a pretty good deal.

I would get maybe the half bread and lobster bisque. Dont think I have ever ordered and actual appetizer besides that.

The seafood stuffed mushrooms are solid. The oyster medley thing they have is pretty good - it comes with Bienville, Rockefeller, and Oysters Little Village. The Rockefeller ones aren't great - just covered in pesto. I really like their calamari also - the best I've had in B.R.

They might want to change the name, if that's what they're doing.

For a steak special I wouldnt complain.. for fish yes.. Many times the special comes with a salad, soup and sides there and a really nice steak with top quality toppings. If you go to Flemmings you would probably pay more for less actually and thats still a chain.

Fine, but can we agree that the mushrooms are good?

A Steakhouse is a different animal altogether, where one expects certain pricing.

A "high-end fine dining" establishment (which, I assume this place fancies itself) is different, though. I've eaten at Michelin starred restaurants in New York, where I'd be hard-pressed to find a $50 entree being served.

You can't tell me the Little Village is approaching that sort of product coming out of its kitchen.
