For those going to Seattle: What are your plans for GameDay?

1. Breakfast at the W Hotel downtown or somewhere close to the hotel (where we're staying) W Hotel Seattle
2. Take a couple cabs over to The Ram at University Village (eat some lunch, watch the other games on TV, hang out and drink for a while). The Ram at University Village
3. Walk around campus, down to the stadium, etc, etc. University of Washington campus map ... Campus Map
4. Start heading over to Ivars Salmon House around 4pm. If we're good on time, maybe swing up "The Ave" since it seems kind of on the way from the stadium to Ivars. Ivar's Salmon House: (206) 632-0767 for boat reservations. Scroll down to "Husky Football Transportation"
5. Get to Ivars around 5pm or a little before ... eat dinner there which is included in our $40 boatride ticket and down a few more beers while watching Virginia Tech manhandle Bama on ESPN.
6. Get on the boat at Ivars around 6pm or whenever they start loading it up, have a couple more drinks on the boatride over to Husky Stadium!
My map with desinations marked... Google Maps ... A is the Ram, B is Husky Stadium, C is "The Ave", D is Northlake Tavern Pizzeria, E is Ivar's. Everything is certainly within walking distance.

Wake up at the W and start drinking ASAP. Assuming they are open, we'd like to hit some bars during late morning/early afternoon and grab a light lunch. We then have an 84 foot boat ready to take off at 2pm to tailgate on the water before the game. Finally, we will proceed to Husky Stadium and watch LSU whip the Huskies.

Hey Stromile...what company did you go through to reserve your boat?

No clue, someone else in the family took care of it. Apparently it has room for 22 people. They were having a tough time and just booked it in the last couple of weeks. I can try to find out the name if you would like.
Have you checked out the area around the W? I haven't looked into it as of yet.

Yeah, please do if you don't mind. We have about 20 people and I've been calling around to find a boat but have been unable to find one as of yet. We already have another boat that holds 40, but it's full so we're trying to get a second boat. If we can't find one, we're just going to do the Ivars boat.
No, I haven't really looked into the area around the W yet. Though I've been told it's close to a lot of stuff (restaurants, bars, etc.), not to mention had a few people tell me it's one of their favorite W's to stay at.
Yall should head over the The Ram at Univ Village GameDay morning and early afternoon. From what UW fans, it's a cool place on GameDay. Assuming we don't get an all-day tailgate boat, we'll probably be spending a chunk of the day over at the Ram.

I'll try to find out tomorrow and I'll let you know. Let's get in touch before that weekend rolls around and get everybody together for drinks.

You plan on taking a cab back to the hotel from Ivars after the game? If so, think that will be possible?

The plan right now is to take the Ivars boat after the game back over to Ivars.... and then cab back to the hotel from there after having a few drinks at Ivars.
But who knows what will happen. We won't be "hamstrung" by a car, so I guess it's possible after the game we may walk to a bar/restaurant close to campus and drink for a while and let the traffic die down before taking a cab back to downtown.

Good idea, I am seriously thinking of not renting a car myself.

We are staying at Mayflower Park. Going to catch a boat... SAILGATING.... 200 person yacht. The boat will park outside of the stadium, serving food and drinks. Probably walk around campus, making frequent refills on the yacht. Then into the stadium for the win!

JPL-my buddy that is doing our group's land (and water) planning said he found a boat that could take up to 200
, for $2000, light food, cash bar, apparently to and from the game. Told him if that was for sure, he needed to get on here and post details. We have around 20 in our group too, so if we could get 100 people, it would only be $20/person, well worth it, just for the ride to the game. We would just have to be sure they stocked enough alcohol-they can't be used to a group drinking as much as LSU fans do.

Mayflower Park.
I thought we were the only ones staying there because nobody ever mentions it
We're taking the Ivar's boat, cabbing back afterwards (husband was told shouldn't be an issue to get a cab but we'll see).

We are going on Thursday so we can do the downtown thing for a day. Then we are going Wine Tasting over the Cascades with some friends from the area. Taking the boat on gameday from downtown... I think the boat supposed to bring us back as well. On Sunday, we are going to some island?

Just made my flight arrangements last night. So I'll see ya'll there.
Is "The W" the actual name for the hotel? Or is that short for The Westin (1900 5th Ave., Seattle).
Right now my friend reserved some rooms at the Westin until we could figure out where most of Tiger nation was staying.
If "The W" is short for some other hotel, would you post a link to it? Thank you. See you there!

The W
same company that owns Westin, but different hotel. It seems a lot of people are staying at the Westin, the W, and the Marriott Waterfront.

Also, I guess our last big decision is what to do on Sunday (we are flying out Monday after lunch). We will arrive on Friday morning and probably explore the city that day.

I'll be at the Westin, brother.
Looks like I'll be touring a few local attractions that morning (Fish Market, Space Needle) then heading out to the campus in the afternoon.
Doing Mt. Rainier on Friday and driving to Vancouver on Sunday.
