Matty Ott's brother gets scholarship offer?

I heard his older brother Jacob is getting a scholly offered to him for next season.
Can anyone confirm this or has anyone else heard this?

Yeah, he was soph this past season at Delgado
8-2, 5.08 ERA, 31 K in 62 IP

i think he went to Nicholas State as well. Left there and went to Delgado. He went to Holy Cross as well.
I don't understand how he has any years of eligibility left...
This will be his 4 year out of high school this fall.
I'm guess a red shirt .. I wonder how many years of eligibility he has left.

If this will be his 4th academic year since leaving high school, he will have 2 years to play 2. I have no idea when he graduated high school though.

he went to nicholls left before baseball season... went to delgado for two years... he has 2 years left to play... has been offered by SLU and is in talks with LSU... thats all there is so far

All I know is that Matty's slider is a big league pitch. Not many guys on the college level can throw it as nasty.

Matty's slider is good because it looks like his fastball. They start the same, but they move in opposite directions. He throws it hard and sharp. Jacob doesn't throw as hard as Matty, and therefore it isn't the same.

his velocity not much better than jacob's
have hels gun for jacob and he hits 90 some just not consistantly for strikes

hes a much better option out of the bullpen than some of the guys we had this past year... thats for damn sure

You mean the bullpen the helped the team be 49-0 when leading after 6 innings? Yeah, they all suck, I'm glad they're gone.
