I tried to have a legitimate discussion in my last thread, im trying again. I think Texas had a tougher path to the NC which gave LSU a major edge in pitching. And just because im from clemson doesnt mean that I cant like texas.

Southern Miss?
ASU- Arkansas swept them in the regular season
UVA- went on the road two times to get to Omaha.

Orange is orange I guess. and the fact that I went to U of South Carolina for Grad School doesn't make me judge Clemson people either

They played the same amount of games as us in the CWS.

You think wrong. Virginia, Rice and Arkansas > Army, BC, and ASU.

Texas pitchers had a bigger strike zone (compliments of the umpire) the entire game. Texas was lucky to be that close.

I doesn't matter that ASU got swept by Arkansas in the season, the only thing that matters is who is hot at the end of the season. That is how Southern Miss got in, because they were hot, as was ASU which made them a very difficult team to beat.

Oh yea.... TCU was better than Rice I suppose. And I guess opening the CWS with Southern Miss was tougher than opening it with Virginia.

Yeah. Southern Miss was defiantly the best team besides UT and LSU.
And TCU was defiantly better than Rice (even though Rice swept UT).

I'll have to disagree with you on the hardest path part.
I think you are not giving Arkansas any love and that is why you think we had an easier path.
Don't forget that Arkansas beat Arizona St. in Phoenix earlier in the year.

Doesnt matter ....they (Texas) had their chance to prove it on the field...NADA...didnt happen..

Texas didn't dominate teams in their bracket like LSU did. Texas didn't have a tougher path, they're just not as good as LSU.

Texas played one top tier team in the entire tournament. Granted, they played ASU twice, but their draw to Omaha was ridiculously weak. And in Omaha, they played USM (the worst team in Omaha) and then ASU twice. They had perhaps the easiest draw a team has ever had in the history of the tourney.
