Considering the situation, was DJ's game-tying two run double the second greatest hit in LSU history?

1) Morris
2) ???

LSU's only other walk-off title win was Cresse's. It was a tie game already, no outs. Not as much pressure. Look at all the facts.

Everything counted in this one.

I almost think the BALLS that we swung at were just as big with the bases loaded!

That killed me!!

It probably be after the Morris' HR and Cresse's RBI single on my list.

ETA: Even though it didn't lead to a NC, Dean's double last year against Rice is a hit I'll never forget.

2 outs, down 2 in the top of the 9th, runners at 1st and 3rd.... I would say his double was the hit of the game. This being a 3 game series, it may go down as one of the top 3 clutch hits of LSU baseball history.

Armando Rios 1 out, 2 RBI double in the bottom of the 9th after he dropped a fly ball in the top of the 9th, to tie Long Beach State. He scored the winning run and sent LSU to the finals vs. Wichita St.

Just another hit to throw in the mix for LSU's second biggest hit.

I am 22 YO and too young to know about the history of that run. I know LSU won it, obviously, but the tenseness of the road there was oblivious to me. Thanks for the history!

If this was elimination game or 3rd game, yes. Being first game it might not be #2. Gotta think about some others.

It's place in history should be reserved for if/when we win the championship.
