Hard to take him out of the lineup when LSU has ZERO errors this entire CWS. Hanover hit one hanging curveball from Cox the other day and some of you want to put him back in....even though his fielding percentage the last month has to be well below .900...

Right now our other 7 or 8 guys need to provide the offense...that's baseball.

He's a good program player, a stud in the field, and a great guy, but 1 for 16 speaks for itself.

bullshite, man. He's a good hitter, and far from an automatic out. That's like saying a quarter will never come up heads if you happen to toss 4 tails in a row.

Except cresse was a proven hitter in a slump

Derek has pretty much always sucked at the plate

Yeah, those 2 slow rollers he made nice plays on are not worth his automatic out in the lineup. Mentally, he's got no chance right now. He's already out before he steps up to the plate.

Yes and Dead should been sitting bench, same with Jared against lefties....

Debatable, but the season is only 1 or 2 more days long. We can't wait for him to break out of his "slump."

I'm not sure what games you're watching, but Derek Helenihi is about as automatic an out as you can possibly get right now.

No, it's like saying someone who is 1-17 and having absolutely atrocious at-bats, is likely to go 1-18, then 1-19, etc...

I do agree he is weak at the plate. But, he showed some wheels scoring from 1st on the DJ double in the 9th. He does have a strong arm at 3rd also.

Hanover is gonna be a good one going forward.

Actually it is...leave Helinihi in for his defense. There are enough hitters in the lineup. You guys can't just let a 14 game win streak speak for itself, can you?

Hanover had some rough ABs for sure in some high pressure situations but we at least know he's capable of hitting well

Still 1 game away from winning it all I'm sure helenihi starts tomorrow

yeah, Hanover was lights out at the plate tonight and Hanover is a Hoover at 3rd.

Helenihi will come up big (he already has three beautiful defensive gems) before the series is over (and he scored the tying run tonight.

Yeah, but at least he looks like he's ready to hit up there. Seriously, Helenihi is already out when he's in the hole.

Well, I certainly didn't see anything especially bad in his swing tonight, and he certainly looked better than Hanover. Mainieri can put in Dozar for all I care, but it's just ridiculous to call him an automatic out. He can hit okay.
