Or is that a definite no when he signs with the White Sox?
havent seen an explanation of what happens for him next, so sorry if it has already been stated

you can't do both, his football career is over, unless after baseball he wants to finish up

Is this a trick question? He just made millions in baseball.

You have to sign a contract by a certain date or go back into the draft next year. I think it's in July.

No, once he enrolled in school as a freshman his eligibility clock started. He has 5 years to play 4. His football career will be over soon. Mauck and Booty were able to come back for football because Mauck had never enrolled in college and never played pro football and Booty, who had enrolled at LSU, still had 2 years of eligibility left.

Just doesn't seem logical for him to.
Be a backup WR with the possibility of getting injured or go play Baseball and make $$$.

No, he announced he wasn't participating in Spring Football. With that said, why does this question even need to be asked? He went in the first round of the MLB Draft.

Yea, but he didn't play football in Fall of '06. Just like Samrdzija, JMitch's future resides solely in baseball.

no, mauck went to the MLB 1st then came back. He hadn't been on LSU's campus.
Mitchell has already played football at LSU and his eligibility has been used. If he goes pro in baseball, his eligibility should still be ticking away.

Once you start college and enroll then you have five years to play four. Since J. Mitch already has done three years then he has two years left to play his last year of eligibility. He cannot come back and play after two years. So if he goes to pursue his baseball career then he most likely will not be able to come back and finish football because he will play baseball for more than two seasons.
