Sam Gibson the quarterback

He looks like a real QB in his video. Makes a lot of difficult throws, and shows really good speed running the ball. To my novice eyes, he seems like a perfect spread option QB. His 2008 stats support this, but there's conflicting info.
The start of his video says 108 for 123 (88%),
but his rivals page says 95/164 (58%),
and his scout profile says 84/149 (56%).
What gives?

Remember the reverse throwback pass by Doucet to Flynn in 2007? That'll be Gibson throwing the ball to Jefferson in 2 years....

Yeah I hope he stays at QB when he goes to LSU.
I love all these fast QB's that LSU is recruiting it just gives the offense another demintion
p.s. how do you spell demintion

6'1' 205 With 4.4 speed....might be one of the RBs we have been looking for?

His passing was not that impressive. In fact, it was not at all impressive.

Actually his passing tapes were very impressive. Look at the type of passes he threw: Long, intermediate, out patterns post patterns and crossing patterns. then compare that to some of the other QB's we are recruiting.... i think we found a real GEM!

I don't know how yall can tell if he's receiving or passing in that youtube video. The thing is so grainy, I can't tell anything.

he looks like he has a good motion and is accurate in high school ball out of an option-play action system
he just doesn't look fast. i don't see WR or S in those vids. he doesn't even seen that fast for an option QB
it will be interesting to see where he ends up

yeah, you can judge speed accurately to a tenth of a second based on a grainy, far away video? that is very impressive.

He runs much more like Jefferson than RS. His arm isn't bad. He seems accurate on the run and he did throw a bomb that went 45 yards from the LOS. Hard to tell what kind of velocity he puts on the short to intermediate by that film. He would be a good dual threat.

The kid is a football player, Miles will find a use for him.

you can tell a legit speedster, which a 4.40 guy is (like percy harvin or maclin). does this kid look anywhere near that fast?
it's not hating on the kid. it's just fact

i never would have thought Laron Landry would run what he did at the combine based on watching him for 4 years at LSU. and that was on broadcast TV, approximately 45 games or so. again I'm very impressed that you can accurately judge speed to a tenth of a second based on that horrible quality video. and then categorically call it fact.

You posted Addai as a "4.55-4.6" before the combine, then repeated it with Laron Landry when you were blowing the Nelson kid. You pegged Landry as "4.6ish"
Addai 4.37 Combine
Landry 4.35 Combine
No, you can't. Most everyone's else's eyesight is much better.
