won five straight Big East conference tournaments at Notre Dame before he came to LSU. Just wanted to say that man it is good to have him on our side. 
I know it isn't as easy in the SEC, but I just wanted to remind everyone how good coach Manieri is in games like today's. Have faith. He will but the best team on the field.

I just think it is amazing reading through this board and seeing things about how he shouldn't have done this and he should have done this and such. then we need to play some games here. Because that's where the tourney was every year that they won it. Javi Sanchez was also the tourney MVP one of those years.

I wouldn't trade him for any coach in the country. He could have come in and sold us a rebuilding project, but instead raised the expectations to winning national titles again. He's done a terrific job.

i think he tried to sell us the rebuilding project that first year, but he got it turned around so quickly, and we weren't very accepting of said rebuilding job, i remember alot of those posts

I think most people spotted him the first year. The natives got restless midway through last season, before the win streak.
But there has been no excuses of how tough the SEC is or anything. It's been all about being the best team in the country.
