Do they take reservations? If not, when should I get there?

Also, what do you recommend?

No reservations and it's small and fills up quickly.

Unless you get there at 6PM or after 9PM you will most likely have a wait.

Go early or wait. No reservations. I like the cambazola/roasted garlic appetizer and their pizza most of all. Their gravy is weak but not terrible. The pesto is downright awful.

No reservations.

I like to get there around 9, thats when the crowd starts thinning.

Get the Lasagna with Meatball.

+1

Most everything is good. You have to start with the brie (I think) and roasted garlic appetizer.

ETA: the cheese is actually cambazola...thank you to the other poster that is smarter than me.

Since the bridge construction their Friday night waits have dropped off substantially. We went there the last two Fridays at around 7 and didn't wait either time. Try the shrimp in vodka sauce...

If they have the baked penne as a special, get it.

Other favorites of mine:

Osso Bucco- best stuff ever. Have to get this IMO.

Veal Avezzano- veal and eggplant parm on top of each other. Incredible.

Lasagna with a meatball is very good as well.

If you ever go for lunch:
Beef Tips are great
Eggplant poboy is great
Meatball and Eggplant poboy is great

You can get the poboys anytime, the beef tips are just available at lunch though.

As for the guy that said the sauce was weak, I have no clue what he's even talking about. The sauce is great.

Veal Piccata is very good as well. I don't usually order that because I'm more of a red sauce person but it's really good.

The Bartender over there, Clint I think his name is, is cool as shite.

He is one of those bartenders remembers your name the first time that you go in there and shake his hand. Also, if he sees you walk through the door, he'll have your drink waiting for you as soon as you walk in. Overall, he makes that place much more welcoming to go to IMO.

Bartenders like that are hard to come by these days.

Anybody else agree with me?

I get the two bartenders confused but the manager, Mike is the same way. The waitresses are too pretty, imo. It's distracting.

If by "Mike is the same way" you mean Mike is an arse basket, then yes, I agree.

Great spot. Small enough to be able to enjoy a romantic night. Food is ok.

Go somewhere else

Seriously...it's not cheap and it's not good. The few things that I've tried there I've actually managed to cook better myself the FIRST TIME I've ever cooked the dishes. It's one of the most overrated restaurants in BR.

Worst Osso Bucco I've ever had. Tasted like terrible flavorless stew meat.
