Would you rather win the NC every 2 years in baseball and

lose 4 games every year in football?
or win the MNC every 10 years in football and have a mediocre baseball program ?
I thought LSU is a baseball school, I'd go with the first one.

Football MNC all the way. It's probably the 2nd most popular sport in the US, behind the NFL.

These hypothetical situations are dumb, if i know future results of either, I probably wouldn't follow either sport or just bet big money on them and become rich. See Back to the Future II

hopefully the football team gets there again. biggest disappointment of the 2008-2009 LSU athletic year.

But if I had to choose between those two options, I would choose the second one. As others have said, football all the way. One football championship is worth more to the school and the athletic program than several (possibly even all 5) baseball championships. And the loss of our football program dropping to the point of perennially losing 4 games every years without a national championship would be far greater than the loss of our baseball program slipping back to mediocrity.
