I would say tek, from everything I've heard, he was the reason the Red Sox were able to have all the personalities in the clubhouse in 2004 and 2007. He's a glue guy, but I would take him and I'm a Yankees fan

Stupid, why do people overreact to the first month of a season?
Posted on 4/30/09 at 10:36 am to lsu xman
for the money they're paying him and the added pressure of playing in NY you would think Tex would do something to not be a slow starter this season

How about this one.
Nick Swisher: 75 AB 23H 7HR 19RBI .307 BA 416.OBP Salary $5.3-million
David Ortiz: 85 AB 20H 0HR 12RBI .235 BA .289OBP Salary $12.5-million
Plus Swisher actually plays in the field as well.

Teixeira is almost always a slow starter. Anyone who would really rather Tek is beyond short-sighted.
well, unless you're not a fan of 30HR/100RBI seasons from a gold-glove caliber first baseman.

Varitek was on steroids but it was covered up by Mitchell, ya know, the director of the Boston Red Sox.

Funny that they're both former Georgia Tech stars...
