Georges, hands down. It looks like a hole, but it is amazing.

For the love of gawd, I hope no one says Tommy's Fish House.

Tommy's Fish House easily has the best poboy in Baton Rouge

best poboy in baton rouge is actually probably not a seafood poboy... i'd give my vote to pocarella's meatball poboy....had one last week..

i won't call it the best pb in BR for obvious reasons, but that is a damn good poboy!

just get the shrimp basket on bread...however, it would be 9 big shrimp on a 5 inch poboy for 8.95. don't know if it's worth that much to you.

I would legitimately have to consider Dempsey's French Dip as the best and maybe the French Dip/Cup of Soup/Gumbo as the best combo meal in the city. Not trying to suck up, its a legit opinion.

Georges is good. Your statement has merit.

FWIW, I would much rather an Assload of fresh popcorn Shrimp on my Po-boy than a few huge arse ones...........ala Kenner Seafood.
A hidden Gem in the BR area Po-boy world is Cafe Roux in Central. The Ham, Roast Beef and Swiss ain't too shabby, but still not Nawlins................

The best poboy in BR is the one I drive up from Nawlins...

New Orleans Poboy on Coursey for me. The fried shrimp and onion rings coupled with the abundance of mispelled words on the menu takes the cake.

Steak sandwich from Inga's is one of my favs.

I agree, Catman. Anytime someone asks me what to get, I ALWAYS recommend the french dip or the cup and a half with the french dip as the half of the poboy...
