I know we have few a threads already, but I think everyone should read this short article

good read on Vaughn

I'm excited about this kid....dudes a beast!!

-he has unbelievable size: 6-2, 221 pounds
-his speed has been clocked in the 4.3's
-he was rated the 3rd best SS in the draft by NFLDraftScout.com
quote:

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds at the NFL combine.

Vaughn said he is faster than that.
"Some teams had me running between 4.36 and 4.39 as my fastest time and being the fastest safety up there," he said.

If Jenkins proves to everyone he can play corner in the NFL then Vaughn just might be our guy at SS in the future.....thoughts?

I think he makes an immediate contribution on special team (which makes him worthy of a 4th round pick) with increased playing time throughout the year.

If he is smart...i mean can learn the playbook and can do what G Dub tells him to, I think he sees significant playing time next season.

i heard his interview on wwl yesterday afternoon and immediately started making calls to my friends about how much i like the kid. there were some "yes sirs" and "thank yous" in there. they mentioned how he should pay attention to everything darren sharper says and does. the guy says something like, "oh yes sir, my eyes are gonna be glued on mr. sharper".

someone asked him what he would need to focus on to make the transition to the nfl and he said "everything... i'll need to get better at every aspect of the game."

his attitude seemed great and it surely sounded like he has the desire and work ethic to make himself and the team better.
