Defensive Tackle? He'll be nasty if he can keep his speed up.

For football, Claiborne runs fast enough. After watching his film, it would be a shame to lose that offensive talent by putting Claiborne on the defensive side. He has very good skills with the ball, in traffic.

wait till Moffitt gets a hold of him.

Fair Park's Morris Claiborne was the outstanding track man, recording a 10.3 in the 100-meter dash, though he was aided by the wind. He won the 200 in 22.06, despite running into a headwind and anchored the winning Indians 4x100-meter relay squad

how does the wind change direction that fast? how are you wind aided in the 100, then running against the wind in the 200?

every meet i ever ran in the 100 and the straightaway in the 200 were run on the same stretch of track.

If the wind was 2.5m/s, it adjust to a 10.43s, though the wind was probably higher than that. Plus, it seems like it was hand timed, so add another 0.2s. 10.6s is a good time for a high schooler, and makes sense with the 200m time he ran.

Reminds me a lot of BJ Sams. In high school he ran the 100 meters in the same neighborhood. Last I saw of him he was returning punts and kickoffs in Baltimore for the Ravens.

We got screwed on the recruiting rankings with him never getting evaluated.

I don't think stars are all that matters, but I do pay attention to them and I think it's pretty jank that no one ever evaluated him despite him committing to a big time school as soon as he did.

Holliday ran a 10.02 twice in competition. Claiborne has run a 10.3, and for you "non-track" guys, that's a pretty big difference in speed. Claiborne is fast, but Holliday has true world class speed. I sure hope they get him the ball more this year, as this is his final season. And not just out of the backfield on wrinkle plays, but find ways to get him out in the open where he can make things happen.
