with so much talent on this team how can you play so badly and don't say it's just baseball.

if we lose today is there any chance in hell we get a top 8 seed?

have to think 2 losses to Tenn and one to Nicholls destroys our RPI.....we had too weak of an OOC schedule to afford to drop these kinds of games.

Win the SEC & make it to the finals of SEC tournament, or just win the SEC tournament without winning regular season, & it will result in a top 8 seed.

This is the only thing that I lay at the feet of Mainieri. Just about every other bad thing that has happened to us this year can be explained away as "just baseball" but for us to play RPI anchors like Grambling, Nicholls and Harvard all in the same year is absurd. Even beating those teams makes us worse off.

Yes...there is still a lot of baseball in this game and the rest of the season so we have a strong chance of getting into the top 8. That being said losing never helps.

Personally I think this teams lacks motivation (against bad opponents) and leadership. We don't seem to be motivated against anyone until we are down by a few runs and then the urgency shows up. I haven't seen any great leaders on any of our teams in several years. I miss the days of Wally or Blair calling a team huddle outside of the dugout. These guys need to get focused on the game at hand and do their part to win.

so if UGA wins today we are 3 games back with 12 left to play, right? We better sweep someone.

highly doubt the SEC tourney is that important in seeding.

Then I highly doubt you've paid much attention to college baseball in recent years.
