been around awhile.

I remember seeing it when I was very young and when

that girl jumped off the cliff I might have cried. That and the bad Indian was one of my most hated characters.

Excellent score. Loved the last scene. Magua deserved that death.

Only thing I really hated and thought was ultra cheesy was when DDL was running and fired two muskets at once.

Although it's a serious departure from the novel, it's a really good movie. Michael Mann doesn't make bad movies.

Have you seen There Will Be Blood? You can barely recognize DDL.

One of the top 5 great scores in movie history.

The final scene at the end is one of the best scenes ever.

Magua is one of the best villains in any movie. Right up there with Longshanks but below Vader.

This movie is one of the best ones to come out of the 90's. Wasn't nominated for any major award that I can think of. It is always funny to see the garbage that gets nominated and sometimes wins awards and then is forgotten within a year or two.

Favorite line from this movie:

Duncan: You there, Scout! We must rest soon, the women are tired.
Magua: No, two leagues, better water. We stop there.
Duncan: No, we'll stop in the glade just ahead. When the ladies are rested, we will proceed. Do you understand?
Magua: [speaking Huron] Magua understands that the white man is a dog to his women. When they are tired, he puts down his tomahawk to feed their laziness.
Duncan: Excuse me, what did you say?
Magua: Magua said... I understand English, very well.
