considering I didn't like GW really at all, and never been to Deanie's, I'll choose Deanie's.

Is this a trick question? GW Fins is a fine dining establishment. Deanie's NOT. These two should never be mentioned together.

GW by a mega tsunami causing landslide.

I'm never heard anyone say that. It may not be the best restaurant in town, but there are not many places on its level when it comes to high end seafood. If you don't like GW Fins, then you just don't like fish.

Cant really compare these two at all - if your in the mood for a po boy and a beer then deanie's is your place. If you want a nice piece of fish with a nice atmosphere then GW's is the place. I agree about Fins - not the greatest place in NOLA but very good when it comes to fish dishes.

Not really. There are perhaps fifty places that offer much better seafood in a casual setting than Deanie's. Very, very overrated.

Bobby Hee-Bert would probably feel great pressure to say he prefers Deanie's!

I agree - but he was only asking about these two places.

I like both places but they are not on the same level. GW Fins is upscale like Brennans etc. While Deanies is Ralph and Kacoo.

actually, I'm not wild about it, but when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I've had MUCH better fish elsewhere and was very displeased with what the waiter recommended. Nice atmosphere though.

Perhaps it was the fish that I got....the waiter talked me out of the dish I wanted and just wasn't impressed with the one I got.

I had a fish dish at Ralphs and it was pretty tasty (for fish).
