Let me also mention, I'm doing a weekend long stage race. I don't want anything that will completely clog the old arteries. Some good carbs would be nice.

Cypress Inn is good too. Also, The Waysider has awesome breakfast.

If you go out on the strip and the Houndstooth is selling those pulled pork nachos on the street next to the patio, pick up an order...

Not sure if they only do this on football game days, but I recall these being unbelievable back in 2007...

It didn't hurt that we just kicked their arse...

Jimmy Johns has some really decent subs. For something a little nicer I'd try Brick House. It just opened a few months ago and is pretty good

Got the parmesan crusted grouper...was awesome

There's a little known hole-in-the-wall in Northport called The Brown Bag. Best fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten.
