WWLTV ran an interview they had with Byrd today and he said, it was important for him to do well today, to show the NFL that it was LSU who didn't have QBs that could get him the ball this year.

Well, can you disagree with him?

Well that sucks.

In a word....actually two words.....HELL YES

He spoke the truth. Under Flynn he saw the ball a lot more. One of our weak points this year was not getting him the ball.

his body language on the field basically said that. Lafell still got catches.....

Hell, Lee cost him big bucks. I don't have any problem with what he was saying. Look at what he did with just an above average QB in Flynn.

Brandon Lafell didn't have as many problems.

i wouldn't if he didn't short arm stuff and quit on routes multiple times.

He's totally right. He had Jarrett fricking Lee throwing to him.

Byrd cost Byrd money period.

I'm not saying if its right or wrong, but if we can bash the QBs on here, we can't complain if Byrd bashes them too.

True. I don't know what happened to Byrd last year. His numbers were not nearly what we expected preseason.

Byrd is a player who excels down the field. He is not a guy who gets great separation and excels over the middle. This year we didn't have a QB who could get the ball down the field. I really don't think he is that off base. He maybe could have worded it better but... it is what it is..

Well, after this past years performance, that is what he has to rpove.

He sounds like a great team mate. I wonder if Dallas is interested.
Wonder how he feels about RP letting him down.

Lafell is a totally different type of WR. Byrd excels down the field primarily (think Devery Henderson).

"who didn't start the QB that could have gotten"
is what he meant to say.
