i had a chance to try both over the weekend. tough decision but i will go with boudin king because the rice was not mushy. I must also say the boudin balls at best stop was bad azz.

I'd have to agree with your assessment. I grew up on Boudin King due to my parents being from Jennings and going there to visit family on the weekends wasn't complete without a stop at Boudin King.
Also add that Beststop's cracklins are the best.

This has to be a joke, you can't really be serious.

i have no reason to joke. my wife rathered best stop, she claimed it had more seasoning. i only tried the mild from boudin king, i should have also tasted the hot.

i find best stop's links to be overly spicy (as in that is all you taste), and the consistancy is very bad...liquidy mush ...im not a fan...now, everything else I've had their is money...esp their fresh sausage

Same boudin king people that are in Crowley?? I have never liked that boudin. Too much like rice dressing in a casing.

Take the Scott exit, head North, a couple miles up on your left.

Boudin King is 95% rice with a little meat mixed in. I don't even consider it boudin.

I bought the 10# bag of the frozen links a couple of weeks ago. Two links per pack individually wrapped, which makes them easy to take out as much as you want. When I had the side smoker running last weekend, I put 4 links at the far end near the stack, and let them stay on for about 2 hours at around 275 degrees.

Money. Tasted even better than their smoked links, IMHO.

after reading many views on the boudinlink i will retract my opinion. i was focused on the rice for some reason, but after thinking about it there was way too much rice and not enough meat. i just wish the best stop's rice wasn't mushy. i'll keep my day job.
