Have an 8 team playoff with a 7 game series for every round. FWIW, I wouldn't change the NCAA tourney at all. But RM and SFP have serious problems with some of it and I was just pointing out the obvious.

Not really. It'll be LSU and MSU from the SEC instead of LSU and UT or LSU and Auburn. I see your point, but this is a terrible example.

LSU and Tennessee were already in. I think MSU took Florida or Auburn's place. SEC will have three teams.

So those teams have a possibility of playing 21 games, while dealing with travel expenses and (in theory) working on their education.
3 games series might work, but any more than that is not feasible for the NCAA.

St. Mary's or Penn State might be more deserving but it's close and St. Mary's plays in the WCC

Well,if State stole one,it was from Auburn. Auburn was every bit as deserving as some of these Big 10,Big East and ACC 'bubble teams' everyone is slobbering over.
