That is the lowest number the sport has seen since 1938.

The transfer portal is doing exactly what everyone thought it would do: it is taking talent away from the G5 and concentrating it within the P4. The mid-majors are about to go the way of the Dodo bird.

This insinuates we need more than 75 good teams.

We don’t.

I think talent spread out over 75 teams is way better than talent spread out over 120 teams.

By OPs logic, let’s go 400 teams and spread it out even more.

What logic are you deducing from my OP that leads you to that conclusion?

The do-gooders and race-baiters' plan is working to perfection.

One sec let me read it again

Ah, I should have read more.

I assume most folks talking about this are disappointed that talent isn’t flowing to the bottom programs. I shouldn’t have assumed.

1960s thru the 1970s....

Raiders used to raid the HBCU's during a time when a lot of the "major" programs were stil mostly White.

That was a time period when you really did find the best talent you didn't see on TV on Saturday.

NFL teams had to do real homework back then.

When I was in college at an FCS school, FBS players would transfer there to avoid having to sit out a year. I remember having classes with players from LSU, Ole Miss, SMU, etc.

5 if you want to count Jeff Caldwell who spent the first three years of his CFB career at Lindenwood before transferring to Cincinnati.
