Please double check me here but…
Maneri
Ty Floyd, Cade Anderson
Jason Kelly Portal Additions
Riley Cooper, Bryce Collins,
Eric Ryzelman, Paul Gervase, Tray Shaffer
Jason Kelly Recruited/Signed
Gavin Guidry, Chase Shores,
Griffin Herring, Aiden Moffit
Also, I think Jason Kelly was primary recruiter of Skenes but was gone to Washington by the time Skenes arrived.
Yeskie??

Can you really count Kade Anderson for Maneri? Dude was gone for 2 years before Kade ever made it to campus

Paul Gervase

JUCO kid signed by the Mainieri staff, not portal

Riley Cooper, Bryce Collins,

Both at Arizona with Jay, but you're trying to give credit to Meatball?

Ty Floyd, Cade Anderson

Committed under Mainieri, but Anderson arrived in 2024, tough to still give that staff credit for him.

Gavin Guidry

Committed under the Mainieri staff, was not switched to pitcher until Wes Johnson was here.

quote:

Griffin Herring, Aiden Moffit

Both committed under the old staff. Herring didn't arrive until Kelly was gone.

Jay was the primary recruiter and he was sold on the development from Wes Johnson. Meatball had nothing to do with any of it.

Here is the list of guys who committed while Dan Fitzgerald was the Recruiting Coordinator, which overlaps with the time Kelly was the pitching coach.

Trey Shaffer
Bryce Collins
Riley Cooper
Robby Snelling
Adrian Siravo
Grant Breaux
Micah Bucknam
Nic Bronzini
Vaughn Neckar
Jaxson Burch
Jaden Noot
Kaleb Applebey
Nate Ackenhausen
Chase Shores
Jacob Misiorowski
MJ Seo
Cameron Johnson
Cam Caminiti
James Whitaker
Karson Trichel
Dylan Tebrake

I don't have any issues with Kelly, but it's a stretch to give him credit for a lot of these. And a huge number of them never showed up here. We've also won two championships with two different pitching coaches since Kelly left so the OPs obsession with him is pretty weird. Unless he's actually an A&M fan.

ETA: Reyzelman committed before we had a recruiting coordinator, but Kelly was on staff by then.

So, you think CJJ had no role in getting those guys?

Definitely not an A&M fan. Was trying to make a point against Yeskie. Not trying to prop up Kelly. Can’t trust google searches. Thanks for info

Giving them credit for Kade is fricking laughable and makes you a retard.

There is no denying that Yeski made Kade dominant.

He has done a shite job this year but Kade and AE took massive steps with him, Shores as well.

Are you strictly going by recruiting or are you partially asking who was responsible for developing these players?

You have 16 total posts on this site and multiple are about Jason Kelly. The thread title is about Jason Kelly. You mentioned Yeskie once with a couple question marks after his name.

If you were trying to make a point about Yeskie, you did as well at that as you did at gathering facts about the pitchers Kelly brought in.

That's without regard to the fact that the way baseball recruiting worked then (and still now to an extent) the only guys Kelly would have actually recruited and coached would have been Reyzelman and Shaffer.

Well that’s a dumb way to look at it. Recruiting is half of the equation. Almost every college player has to also be developed.

Plus you have times where the kids are Id’d and the new staff made the choice to keep them.

It’s a little cleaner with Kelly since he was part of the JJ staff.

I can see that. I’ve just been down on Yeskie. Hopefully, they can right the ship.

Kade was a LSU commit when Maneri was the coach. If I recall correctly, Kade had committed as a Freshman. At least I was aware he was going to LSU when he was a sophomore at St. Paul’s HS. I know when Jay got to LSU, one of his main concerns was keeping Kade from going in the draft. He’s said as much.

I miss guys like Shores and Herring in the bullpen. Seems unfair compared to what LSU has currently.

Jay knows ball and works his arse off. He’s not sipping Chardonnay with Kelly hoping LSU will carry him. Stop with this silly shite

The only reason Guidry saw the mound in 2023 was because of injuries
They lost Taylor right before the season
In the Tenn series they lost Shores and Edwards
Guidry didn't pitch at all during fall workouts

The leap Anderson made from 2024 to 2025 season was under Yeskie's watch - he wasn't very effective in SEC play in 2024
he had a hell of an offseason to come back so dominant in 2025 plus another year removed from his high school injury

Rizy has been the biggest disappointment so far, I thought he would make a leap this season but he has regressed
