Softball salvaged a win today at Mississippi State... hope baseball does too.

Need to win both today... I was worried that our baseball and softball was headed to 0-6 in Starkville this weekend. Softball won 5-3 and baseball already up 3-0 in 1st.

Needed one win @ Miss. St. to keep Hosting a good possibility. Now, just need to take 2 out of 3 vs. Auburn next weekend.

Beth needs to sweep Auburn for the love of God. She needs to be held to SOME standard

I disagree. I think she's done a good job this year. And, we have fired the Football and Basketball coaches this year. We need that money for those two sports more than winning a few more games in softball and losing money.

I don't think she's done a good job, but I don't recommend firing her this year. Simply don't renew her contract at the end of next season. It's time for her to put up or shut up. With OU and Texas joining the SEC, getting her team to a regional isn't enough. We've gone from being a conference front-runner to being a middle of the pack team, and we haven't sniffed the WCWS in ages.

They really should sweep Auburn, that would be 13-11 which is a improvement from last yr

She needed to go last year but it’s not worth a buy out at this point. Just NO extension…take it or leave it. She supposedly has a great recruiting class coming in, so if she is that confident she can earn a review after next year.

Here's the current Softball Top 25. LSU drops to #19. A solid #10 in the SEC. (Hey, that's better than Coach CC and the baseball team though)
Southeastern Louisiana Junior College @ Hammond at #25. (Just watch, LSU and SELAJC@H gonna get paired again in a Regional or SR)
I don't normally concern myself with Softball, but it's LSU and I have zero tolerance for chronic mediocrity in any athletic program at my Alma Mater.
