LIV Golf Mexico City - R2 live on FOX now

Official thread since I know we have a ton of posters interested this weekend
R2 tees off from Club de Golf Chapultepec at 1:15 CT
Everyone played in round 1…. No player protests or whatever the rumor was… Phil is still out, replaced by Wildcard Scott Vincent. Travis Smyth playing as alternate for Scott Vincent’s WC spot

Only 2 tournaments remaining for a US Open spot. AK & Elvis Smylie in the running currently, trying to hold off Detry who is currently #62 on OWGR.
Similar exemption for The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale up for grabs for the non-exempt player in LIV Golf standing after LIV Nola (5 more tournaments)

That is actually an interesting wrinkle. Is there anyone that is currently exempt that could potentially just to a top 3 spot and ruin it for those that are not exempt?

Technically 4 already exempt (Hatton, Ortiz, Cam Smith, DJ) have the chance to spoil it, but would probably need a win in the next 2 events to jump into top 3.
Detry could obviously end up in top 3 & in the top 60 of OWGR so will be exempt either way
The exemption for The Open isn’t limited to top 3, so it’s just the highest ranked non-exempt player after LIV Nola

Agree. I don’t understand all of the scheduling issues with FOX but I guess they have normal weekly shows to work around

I also just remembered that there didn't used to be a LIV round on Thursdays so the networks are just finding ways to work it into their programming.
