We need to talk about Yaz too in terms of not holding his own at the plate.

At least Walt finally broke up the back to back of Riley and Yaz

Agreed, hopefully he can have a healthy year. His plate discipline actually seems to have improved as well…..shockingly

Without looking I am just gonna assume we’re in the lower half of the league in ABS challenges. Or worse.

When they’re good, they’re really, really good.
But when they’re bad, oh my.
Hopefully they’re good a lot more than bad this year.

Happy to have been wrong.

You could see it on Austin’s face when it cleared the fence. He had some bigggg built up frustration and it all just got released at once

We are 2 wins below our wins expected and holding. That first stretch that ended with the road series against the angels we were supposed to win 11 by the numbers and only got 9.

These things still holding more than a game or two after means it expects us to pick those 2 wins up somewhere down the line in the season.

We are a top 5 team in baseball

I feel like a lot of that is Ronnie

He feels like he never takes a strike

He’s not as bad as Harris but Harris has been a lot better with his approach to the plate this year.

The issue with Ronald is one that has plagued him on and off at times since he came up. He struggles mightily with fastballs at times and he is getting blown away by them now

When he has his highest highs like the mvp year he was at least a threat to do damage on fastballs so they couldn’t just throw that one pitch.
