Was a good watch. Brought back memories of how crazy this story was when it happened.

On August 10, 2018, a Horizon Air De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 was stolen from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (Sea–Tac) by 28-year-old Richard Russell, a Horizon Air ground service agent with no piloting experience. After Russell performed an unauthorized takeoff, two McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle fighters were scrambled to intercept the aircraft. Sea–Tac air traffic control made radio contact with Russell, the sole occupant, who described himself as a "broken guy, got a few screws loose, I guess." About 1 hour and 15 minutes after takeoff, Russell crashed the aircraft on lightly populated Ketron Island in Puget Sound, killing himself.

Watched it tonight. I knew very little of the event prior to seeing the documentary.

I wish the widow would have participated in it, but I understand how that would be extremely difficult for her and who knows how the documentary would have painted her.

Overall, great doc.

SkyKing is a reminder that we're all a little broken on the inside. Rest well SkyKing.

Watched this last night, really well done and I enjoyed seeing the reactions from family members as rich was talking

The only think that was strange was how they brought up white supremacy and tried to make it a race issue ..

I think it is fair that his family and friends wanted to address it because the story and single utterance were co-opted by fringe groups.

This. Was a really good documentary. I never heard of this story before so this was all new to me. The part of him throwing up so much was wild. Wonder if it was nerves or the feeling you get knowing you're about to end your life. Seemed like you couldn't get away with shite like this after 9/11

He knew about DEI before it truly blew up.

Sad that his wife got to play kid's bakery all day and he had to get a "REAL JOB" slaving luggage all day and made per hour what a caroline cookie in lafayette cost per cookie.

I wish they would have delved a little more into the relationship between he and the wife. Is that what drove him to do what he did? They did mention that the bakery was a drain.

I assume that's why she didn't participate.

Andrew had an impossible job trying to talk down Russell but was a total pro through the whole thing. It actually hit me a lot when his boss told him not to go home alone in the aftermath, and he broke down crying. I can’t imagine how he felt after that whole experience.
