Its crazy how many people I talk to are scared to do this, and its alarming how many friends/family I have that have never done this. I know everyone isnt single, but for God's sake go out to eat by yourself. Sit at a bar . Try to talk to someone. Ive gotten numbers from 3 females in the past month. Maybe its luck, but maybe if you take a damn chance every once in awhile you may have some fun.

I love doing this on work trips but the goal is to talk to no one. It’s amazing.

I was an only child. I can go out to eat by myself, play golf by myself, and (rarely) go to a movie by myself, if necessary.

I think it shows confidence. Or that you’re a loser. One of the two.

Sadly, it is not just eating out by yourself. I think that society in general has lost the ability to COMMUNICATE and be SOCIAL. Overall, most have devolved into sitting alone in their den binge watching Netflix and having takeout food delivered.

I find this to be a thing with women much moreso than men.

Anyone who regularly travels for work gets over this real quick. More than a couple nights in a row gets lonely, but nothing wrong with ordering some food at the bar somewhere with TVs, decent atmosphere, etc.

Do this all the time and I don’t even drink. Also the wife doesn’t like to see movies in the theatre so I take advantage on work trips. Zero issue going to a movie solo.

I go out to eat by myself all the time. I never talk to anyone and no one ever talks to me.

I travel for work frequently and it’s about the only thing I look forward to.

Total peace

If you see someone at a restaurant, concert, or movie alone then they are probably on a list and not able to live within 500 feet of a school

Do and did all of this esp when I was middle aged and single. Moving around a lot you do what you can. Have had some great times playing golf as a single and pairing up with strangers. At the end of the day, most people just want to relax and have a good time with each other. Leave your opinions and politics at the door.

I feel sorry for people eating by herself and secondly, I get pissed off when I’m at work and I have to go eat and I go to the bar and it’s fricking full on nowhere for me to sit. It pisses me off.

One of the great joys in life is getting off early on a Friday and going to get a nice meal & a beer by myself.

It’s a great time to sit and reflect, and just enjoy the time alone.

Just did this tonight on a business trip at an Outback Steakhouse. They saw I had that corporate card and I was treated like a KANG
