JFC this shite makes me heated. These poor athletes. Men younger than them have been sent to sacrifice and die for their country but we are supposed to feel sorry for a spoiled athlete that has everything handed to them and every obstacle at school removed. How soft is this guy?

Definitely dodged a bullet. For Tennessee, you're talking about 10% or more of their NIL budget in a guy that might not even play... I'm assuming he won't get the money if he's kicked off the team?

Yup. One of many reasons I hate this portal era and can't wait until it's more under control. Every college athlete should be seen as a professional at this point which includes everything with that.

Just saw a podcast (mccready and Sisley) post with a guy on there claiming an agent told him a sec school doesn’t have the nil money yet and told agent the check is coming. Could this be the problem?

For real. It's ok to empathize with people and the struggles they face, but we are judged on how we respond to challenges - a reflection of our makeup.
But people who have been enabled their entire lives have never been told that, so when confronted with it, they don't understand.

And for some perspective... the lowest ranking guys make <$30k/yr so it would only take them about 115 years to make $3.5 million.

Dude … for $3.5mm you can afford to rent a a four bedroom and have your whole family live with you.
