He said we will arrest the person in the press if he does not release his source of this leaker. This was a HUGE risk to the airman and the ones trying to rescue him.
Some arsehole would have people killed so he could make Trump look bad. There are some demented sick fcks out there.

There could be no other reason someone would leak this. No one is stupid enough not to see it would alert the entire military of iran.

I mean... We see almost daily examples of legit treason from TDS pricks in government, the media etc. It's incredible.

If it is true that we didn't actually rescue the airman, why the hell would Trump confirm a leak that none of us has even heard?
I can understand why a reporter would ask about it. If all that rescue stuff despite the loss of five aircraft was all BS, someone should ask about it. But if the BS was part of the plan to rescue the guy, then don't confirm the leak.

If someone told a reporter that the airman was not actually rescued, it is natural that the reporter would ask Trump about it.
If the rescue was a cover operation for the ongoing effort to rescue the airman, Trump's job there is to say, "No, he was rescued yesterday and he is on his way back to the United States."
But Trump can't help himself.
He is asked about whether the airman is in fact not rescued and Trump CONFIRMS THAT HE IS NOT RESCUED
