Look at these Louisiana officers finding and locking up real criminals. A few weed plants? Lock him away forever. Good use of resources capturing and cost of keeping him locked up.

They already set up a GoFundMe account for the poor guy

quote:

Oliver Lippy is someone who has always tried to take care of his own health, even when the odds were stacked against him. Recently, he was arrested by St. Martin parish for cultivating cannabis. With the high cost of legal alternatives, Oliver was left with no choice but to grow his own medicine. This arrest has not only taken away his freedom, but has also caused him significant pain and suffering.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward paying Oliver's bail and helping him cope with the emotional and financial toll of his incarceration. Every dollar will make a difference in helping him regain his freedom and begin to heal from this difficult experience.

We all know this is a non-sense arrest. Oliver has been priced out of the legal market and was simply trying to care for himself. Your support will not only help him get back on his feet, but will also show him that he is not alone in this fight. Any contribution, big or small, will be deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing with Oliver during this challenging time.

Yep. That's pathetic and what a waste of time and resources. I love that the description says "several OUNCES" of marijuana.

Is there no sense of shame or embarrassment on the part of the sheriff’s office? What a lack of self awareness.

At 71 he should be able to cook crack and use it... as long as he isn't selling it.
