The left now seems to be generally upset that Trump used so many resources on the rescue.

Been seeing posts all day online about how we sacrificed 3 planes to rescue one man.
If you haven't realized just how wretched and scummy these people are, maybe this will help. It's not hard to find, just look at the comments of any store about the rescue of the co-pilot. Hell I am sure we have some losers on this very board that criticized it.

The cost of those 3 planes is probably still less than the cost of training that pilot, if they want to look at this from the non-human standpoint.

I don’t blame Trump.
I blame whatever joint commander thought it was a good idea to land 2x C-130s on an unimproved strip such that the gear couldn’t function.
Imagine if this was a mission to extract the 82d after taking Kharg Island?
We are supposed to have the capability to do just this. Either the equipment or planning failed.
